COMPANY NEWS

April 29th, 1998

To comply with:

  • new and better opportunities offered by updated hardware, software and communication systems
  • new and increased services and quicker answers required by the market
  • year 2000 change over
  • new European Economic Community currency (Euro)

Cesare Bonetti Company decided to change totally its E.D.P.,  moving from the actual "HMS" (installed on a Bull DPS 7000 hardware) to a fully integrated   "E.R.P." system.

This new E.D.P. has been purchased from Baan (Triton/Baan IV) and it is being installed on a new Hewlett Packard hardware (based on a couple of HP 9000 D Class servers) working with a PC network.

The scheduled program for change over started in February 1998 and this hard work, involving all Bonetti Company departments, shall be completed on January 1st, 1999, which is our target date for the new system start up.
